2 Thessalonians 2:11
11: So God will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all these lies.
Romans 1:28
- When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done.
John 12:39
- But the people couldn't believe, for as Isaiah also said,
- "The Lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts--so their eyes cannot see, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them."
- Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he made this prediction, because he was given a vision of the Messiah's glory.
- Many people, including some of the Jewish leaders, believed in him. But they wouldn't admit it to anyone because of their fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.
- For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.
Ezekiel 21:29

- Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen.
1 Thessalonians 2:3
- So you can see that we were not preaching with any deceit or impure purposes or trickery.
