2 Corinthians 6:13

13: I am talking now as I would to my own children. Open your hearts to us!

For it was I, the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, "Do you believe I can make you see?Yes, Lord," they told him, "we do."
Then he touched their eyes and said, "Because of your faith, it will happen."

Dear children, let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions.

When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him. "My father! My father! The chariots and charioteers of Israel!" he cried.
Elisha told him, "Get a bow and some arrows." And the king did as he was told.
Then Elisha told the king of Israel to put his hand on the bow, and Elisha laid his own hands on the king's hands.
Then he commanded, "Open that eastern window," and he opened it. Then he said, "Shoot!" So he did. Then Elisha proclaimed, "This is the LORD's arrow, full of victory over Aram, for you will completely conquer the Arameans at Aphek.
Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground." So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times.

I am writing to you, my dear children, because your sins have been forgiven because of Jesus.
I am writing to you who are mature because you know Christ, the one who is from the beginning. I am writing to you who are young because you have won your battle with Satan.
I have written to you, children, because you have known the Father. I have written to you who are mature because you know Christ, the one who is from the beginning. I have written to you who are young because you are strong with God's word living in your hearts, and you have won your battle with Satan.

Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately, "Why couldn't we cast out that demon?"
"You didn't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I assure you, even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."

My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if you do sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who pleases God completely.

Dear children, don't let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it is because they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous.

And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will.
And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for.

I am not writing these things to shame you, but to warn you as my beloved children.
For even if you had ten thousand others to teach you about Christ, you have only one spiritual father. For I became your father in Christ Jesus when I preached the Good News to you.

And have you entirely forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you, his children? He said, "My child, don't ignore it when the Lord disciplines you, and don't be discouraged when he corrects you.
For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes those he accepts as his children."

But oh, my dear children! I feel as if I am going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.

Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to live as I do in freedom from these things, for I have become like you Gentiles were--free from the law. You did not mistreat me when I first preached to you.

Then Jesus told them, "A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family."
And because of their unbelief, he couldn't do any mighty miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.
And he was amazed at their unbelief. Then Jesus went out from village to village, teaching.

But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
