2 Chronicles 24:25

  1. The Arameans withdrew, leaving Joash severely wounded. But his own officials decided to kill him for murdering the son of Jehoiada the priest. They assassinated him as he lay in bed. Then he was buried in the City of David, but not in the royal cemetery.
  2. The assassins were Jozabad, the son of an Ammonite woman named Shimeath, and Jehozabad, the son of a Moabite woman named Shomer.

2 Samuel 4:5

2 Kings 21:23

  1. Then Amon's own servants plotted against him and assassinated him in his palace.
  2. But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah the next king.
  3. The rest of the events in Amon's reign and all his deeds are recorded in The Book of the History of the Kings of Judah.
  4. He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. Then his son Josiah became the next king.

2 Chronicles 25:27

  1. After Amaziah turned away from the LORD, there was a conspiracy against his life in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish. But his enemies sent assassins after him, and they killed him there.
  2. They brought him back to Jerusalem on a horse, and he was buried with his ancestors in the City of David.
