15: For the front of the Temple, Solomon made two pillars that were 27 feet tall, each topped by a capital extending upward another 7 1/2 feet.

1 Kings 7:15

  1. Huram cast two bronze pillars, each 27 feet tall and 18 feet in circumference.
  2. For the tops of the pillars he made capitals of molded bronze, each 7 1/2 feet tall.
  3. Each capital was decorated with seven sets of latticework and interwoven chains.
  4. He also made two rows of pomegranates that encircled the latticework to decorate the capitals over the pillars.
  5. The capitals on the columns inside the foyer were shaped like lilies, and they were 6 feet tall.

  1. The bronze from the two pillars, the water carts, and the Sea with the twelve bulls beneath it was too great to be measured. These things had been made for the LORD's Temple in the days of King Solomon.
  2. Each of the pillars was 27 feet tall and 18 feet in circumference. They were hollow, with walls 3 inches thick.
  3. The bronze capital on top of each pillar was 7 1/2 feet high and was decorated with a network of bronze pomegranates all the way around.
  4. There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides, and a total of one hundred on the network around the top.
