10: And now you are planning to make slaves of these people from Judah and Jerusalem. What about your own sins against the LORD your God?

"If any of your Israelite relatives go bankrupt and sell themselves to you, do not treat them as slaves.
Treat them instead as hired servants or as resident foreigners who live with you, and they will serve you only until the Year of Jubilee.
At that time they and their children will no longer be obligated to you, and they will return to their clan and ancestral property.
The people of Israel are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt, so they must never be sold as slaves.
Show your fear of God by treating them well; never exercise your power over them in a ruthless way.

Instead, do what the Scriptures say: "If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink, and they will be ashamed of what they have done to you."
Don't let evil get the best of you, but conquer evil by doing good.

For others will treat you as you treat them. Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged.
And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own?
How can you think of saying, 'Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the log in your own eye?

For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin first among God's own children. And if even we Christians must be judged, what terrible fate awaits those who have never believed God's Good News?
And "If the righteous are barely saved, what chance will the godless and sinners have?"

I have begun to punish Jerusalem, the city where my own name is honored. Now should I let you go unpunished? No, you will not escape disaster. I will call for war against all the nations of the earth. I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!'
