15: So the king paid no attention to the people's demands. This turn of events was the will of God, for it fulfilled the prophecy of the LORD spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat by the prophet Ahijah from Shiloh.
2 Chronicles 25:16
- But the king interrupted him and said, "Since when have I asked your advice? Be quiet now before I have you killed!" So the prophet left with this warning: "I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have done this and have not accepted my counsel."

- But Amaziah would not listen, for God was arranging to destroy him for worshiping the gods of Edom.

- and Ahijah took the new cloak he was wearing and tore it into twelve pieces.
