51: So King Solomon finished all his work on the Temple of the LORD. Then Solomon brought all the gifts his father, David, had dedicated--the silver, the gold, and the other utensils--and he stored them in the treasuries of the LORD's Temple.

- Then David gave Solomon the plans for the Temple and its surroundings, including the treasuries, the upstairs rooms, the inner rooms, and the inner sanctuary where the Ark's cover--the place of atonement--would be kept.

- David brought the gold shields of Hadadezer's officers to Jerusalem,
- along with a large amount of bronze from Hadadezer's cities of Tebah and Berothai.
- When King Toi of Hamath heard that David had destroyed the army of Hadadezer,
- he sent his son Joram to congratulate David on his success. Hadadezer and Toi had long been enemies, and there had been many wars between them. Joram presented David with many gifts of silver, gold, and bronze.
