14: And the LORD will raise up a king over Israel who will destroy the family of Jeroboam. This will happen today, even now!

1 Kings 15:27

  1. Then Baasha son of Ahijah, from the tribe of Issachar, plotted against Nadab and assassinated him while he and the Israelite army were laying siege to the Philistine town of Gibbethon.
  2. Baasha killed Nadab in the third year of King Asa's reign in Judah, and he became the next king of Israel.

Ezekiel 7:2

  1. "Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says to Israel: The end is here! Wherever you look--east, west, north, or south--your land is finished.
  2. No hope remains, for I will unleash my anger against you. I will call you to account for all your disgusting behavior.
  3. I will turn my eyes away and show no pity, repaying you in full for all your evil. Then you will know that I am the LORD!
  4. "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: With one blow after another I will bring total disaster!
  5. The end has come! It has finally arrived! Your final doom is waiting!
