4: When the queen of Sheba realized how wise Solomon was, and when she saw the palace he had built,

Because the Teacher was wise, he taught the people everything he knew. He collected proverbs and classified them.

Word of the king's decision spread quickly throughout all Israel, and the people were awed as they realized the great wisdom God had given him to render decisions with justice.

God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge too vast to be measured.
In fact, his wisdom exceeded that of all the wise men of the East and the wise men of Egypt.
He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite and Heman, Calcol, and Darda--the sons of Mahol. His fame spread throughout all the surrounding nations.

When the queen of Sheba realized how wise Solomon was, and when she saw the palace he had built,
she was breathless. She was also amazed at the food on his tables, the organization of his officials and their splendid clothing, the cup-bearers and their robes, and the burnt offerings Solomon made at the Temple of the LORD.

It was in midspring, during the fourth year of Solomon's reign, that he began the construction of the Temple of the LORD. This was 480 years after the people of Israel were delivered from their slavery in the land of Egypt.
The Temple that King Solomon built for the LORD was 90 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 45 feet high.
The foyer at the front of the Temple was 30 feet wide, running across the entire width of the Temple. It projected outward 15 feet from the front of the Temple.
Solomon also made narrow, recessed windows throughout the Temple.
A complex of rooms was built against the outer walls of the Temple, all the way around the sides and rear of the building.

The queen of Sheba will also rise up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, because she came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And now someone greater than Solomon is here--and you refuse to listen to him.
