Joshua 20:8
- On the east side of the Jordan River, across from Jericho, the following cities were designated as cities of refuge: Bezer, in the wilderness plain of the tribe of Reuben; Ramoth in Gilead, in the territory of the tribe of Gad; and Golan in Bashan, in the land of the tribe of Manasseh.
Joshua 21:36
- From the tribe of Reuben they received Bezer, Jahaz,
- Kedemoth, and Mephaath--four towns with their pasturelands.
Deuteronomy 4:41
- Then Moses set apart three cities of refuge east of the Jordan River,
