28: Shelomoth and his relatives also cared for the items dedicated to the LORD by Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah. All the other dedicated items were in their care, too.

1 Samuel 9:9

  1. (In those days if people wanted a message from God, they would say, "Let's go and ask the seer," for prophets used to be called seers.)

2 Samuel 10:9

  1. When Joab saw that he would have to fight on two fronts, he chose the best troops in his army. He placed them under his personal command and led them out to fight the Arameans in the fields.
  2. He left the rest of the army under the command of his brother Abishai, who was to attack the Ammonites.
  3. "If the Arameans are too strong for me, then come over and help me," Joab told his brother. "And if the Ammonites are too strong for you, I will come and help you.
