Romans 6:4
4: For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
2 Corinthians 5:17
- What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
Colossians 3:10
- In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you.
Romans 7:6
- But now we have been released from the law, for we died with Christ, and we are no longer captive to its power. Now we can really serve God, not in the old way by obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way, by the Spirit.
Ephesians 4:22
- throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception.
- Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes.
- You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God's likeness--righteous, holy, and true.

Romans 6:9
- We are sure of this because Christ rose from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him.
2 Peter 1:4
- And by that same mighty power, he has given us all of his rich and wonderful promises. He has promised that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires and that you will share in his divine nature.
- So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better.
- Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness.
- Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone.
- The more you grow like this, the more you will become productive and useful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:3
- Or have you forgotten that when we became Christians and were baptized to become one with Christ Jesus, we died with him?
Galatians 6:15
- It doesn't make any difference now whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we really have been changed into new and different people.
- May God's mercy and peace be upon all those who live by this principle. They are the new people of God.
1 Corinthians 6:14
- And God will raise our bodies from the dead by his marvelous power, just as he raised our Lord from the dead.

- Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

- This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was Jesus' first display of his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

- "What!" they exclaimed. "It took forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can do it in three days?"
Colossians 1:9
- So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom.
- Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind things for others. All the while, you will learn to know God better and better.
- We also pray that you will be strengthened with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. May you be filled with joy,
- always thanking the Father, who has enabled you to share the inheritance that belongs to God's holy people, who live in the light.
Ephesians 2:5
- that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!)
- For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms--all because we are one with Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 5:8
- For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it!
