Mark 8:35
35: If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life.

Hebrews 11:35
- Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others trusted God and were tortured, preferring to die rather than turn from God and be free. They placed their hope in the resurrection to a better life.

- Ahikam son of Shaphan also stood with Jeremiah and persuaded the court not to turn him over to the mob to be killed.
