13: There are three things that will endure--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 16:14

1 Corinthians 13:1
- If I could speak in any language in heaven or on earth but didn't love others, I would only be making meaningless noise like a loud gong or a clanging cymbal.

- Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- But anyone who does not love does not know God--for God is love.
- God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
- This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
- Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
Galatians 5:6
- For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, it makes no difference to God whether we are circumcised or not circumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

- So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves.
- The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
- But let us who live in the light think clearly, protected by the body armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

- Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.

- Loving God means keeping his commandments, and really, that isn't difficult.

- The thorny ground represents those who hear and accept the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity.
- But the good soil represents honest, good-hearted people who hear God's message, cling to it, and steadily produce a huge harvest.
